When God speaks
And we don't hear
He'll try to get our attention
And make Himself clear





If we don't want to listen
To what God has to say
He will take the next step
To bring us to His way





After a few attempts
If we still don't listen to the Lord
He has no other choice
But to pull out His sword





After a few light blows
From His blunt sword
He will sharpen it
If He is still ignored





When adversity in our lives
Start to appear
If we continue to ignore Him
Things will get severe





As this process
Gets more intense
Things may happen
That don't make sense





Even if we ask others
For us to pray
It won't help until
We come around to His way





We must understand
God is righteous and good to all
But the Bible teaches
He will punish those who fall





He will try and help us
To understand His ways
But if we choose to ignore Him
We can expect bad days
