When my debut was made on earth,
no baggage did I bring,
and when I leave, I will not take
with me one worldly thing.
Bare when I came, bare I'll depart.
The adage words ring true,
"Whatever the treasure on earth you amass,
you cannot take it with you."
No silver, gold or precious stones
have I to leave behind,
but the treasure that I did amass,
deep in my soul you'll find.
So what will be the legacy
to leave my fellow man?
it's in this admonition to
make part of your own plan.
Give freely of your love to all,
maintain your faith in God
and seek the path of righteousness,
where angels' feet have trod
