I haven't got time today
to read my kids a story,
if I don't get the house cleaned
I know I will be sorry.




Tomorrow maybe I will have
a little more time
but today I'm just too busy
I really am behind.




The washing isn't done yet
And dusting I have to do
Baking also must be done
The car needs washing too.



The floors need washing
So my feet to them won't glue
So many chores I have to do
And I've just named a few.




Well tomorrow came and went
The stories never were read
And I never had the time
To tuck my kids in bed.



Now that I'm a grandma
I have more time to spare
I cook for them on holidays
To show how much I care.



If I had it to do over again
I'd worry a little less
My kids would be more important
Who cares if the house is a mess.
