The gentle breath of a cooling breeze,
And the touch of fallen rain.
Washed clean the earth and cleared the air,
From mountain to sun-baked plain.

Then through the falling rain new rays,
From the sun shone bright and clear.
Piercing the prism which nature provides
For a rainbow to form and appear.

The radiant beauty of the rainbow glowed,
From its multi-colored form.
Encompassing earth like the arms of God,
Providing protection from harm.

Such fleeting visions pass quickly from sight,
Thus the rainbow will soon disappear.
But the unseen power of God will remain,
His presence eternally near.
