Tis the time when Christians in every land
Pause as the angels sing
And thank God for His gracious gift
In the rising of their King.





After His reappearance from
Inglorious death on the cross
His followers rejoiced in the death of Christ
As their gain and not their loss





Hope, not pain, resurrection brought
To disciples no longer bereft
And His Holy Spirit to guide them
To believers He lovingly left.





This light for two thousand years has been
A guide for all manknd,
Its message of hope and love ever there
For those who seek to find.





The enduring Grace of God through Christ
Is free for all to see,
To accept and live a God-filled life
Through all eternity.
