Did Mary Know?

Though every baby brings us joy,
None can compare to that small boy,
Born in a manger, long ago,
A star so bright, the way did show.

Yet who would think, a babe so small,
Who brought such joy, to one and all,
Would someday give up His own life,
Would suffer & endure such strife.

It makes our problems seem minute,
Our major wars, just a dispute,
Did Mary know her babe so small,
Would give His life to save us all?
