On a shopping spree
Others working frantically
To decorate a tree





Mama's in the kitchen
Mixing up some treats
To fill the Christmas table
With real good things to eat





Auntie's signing Christmas cards
And running out of time
I see her make an "X" for Christ
Now that's not very kind





I wouldn't want to get a card
On my own birthday
With an "X" where my name should be
