A father and his little boy
Were strolling hand in hand
Along a now deserted beach
Forming footprints in the sand

The boy then of his father asked
How big's the universe, Dad?
The father paused with wrinkled brow
"What can I tell the lad?"

"If sand from all the deserts and
The beaches by the sea
Were formed into one massive cloud
No end of it would be.

"Then take one single grain from this
And place it in your hand
That represents the planet earth
On which we both now stand.

"This is, my son, a mystery
We mortals can't explain
Beyond the range of finite minds
Understanding's God's domain.

"But there's one thing that I do know
To tell you this I can
Much greater than the universe
Is the love God has for Man.

"Don't ask me this to prove to you,
For that I cannot do,
It's just by faith, and faith alone,
For me that makes this true.
